HOW WE STARTED

The Myanmar Educational Expeditions (MEX) started as a creative product concept of Mira Travels in 2017 under a tourism project supported by UN-ITC and CBI Netherlands. The company, at that time, having handled student travel groups, found the educational travel and responsible volunteering to be a sustainable tourism approach to support the needs of local community development. Originally dubbed " Educational Travel Myanmar " project, MEX was launched in 2018 as a B2B travel brand under Mira Travels with the aim of creating responsible travel experiences for travellers and simultaneously generating meaningful impacts to the communities in Myanmar.

Along our journey, from Educational Travel Myanmar to today's MEX, we have had the pleasure of helping our business partners around the world to create their unique Myanmar travel and experience programs. We can help you as well too.
